SilverStream Medical, in collaboration with its Kenyan partner Highridge Pharmaceuticals Ltd, participated in the National Nurses Association of Kenya (NNAK) Perioperative Nurses Chapter Annual Scientific Conference held in Kisumu, Kenya.
The conference brought together perioperative nurses, surgical teams, and healthcare professionals from across the country to discuss current challenges and innovations in surgical care, infection prevention, patient safety, and wound management.
During the event, Highridge Pharmaceuticals showcased SilverStream® Solution as part of its portfolio of advanced wound care technologies. Discussions with healthcare professionals focused on the growing importance of effective wound cleansing and infection prevention strategies across a range of clinical settings, including surgical wounds, trauma injuries, burns, diabetic foot ulcers, and other chronic wounds.
Conference participants demonstrated significant interest in the role of SilverStream Solution within perioperative care pathways, particularly for wound irrigation, wound bed preparation, post-surgical wound management, and support of Surgical Site Infection (SSI) prevention protocols.
The event provided an important opportunity to engage with frontline healthcare professionals and to exchange clinical perspectives on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based wound care practices.
