SilverStream (Qurion) and Jet Force for Venous Insufficiency

Introduction to Case Study

This case study involves a 46-year-old female patient with an 8-month-old non-healing venous ulcer on the lower right leg.

The patient, who was overweight, suffered from a stubborn biofilm and an infection-resistant wound that did not respond to multiple prior treatments, including Hydroheal gel, T-Bact ointment, and paraffin gauze dressings.

Despite surgical intervention to address the biofilm, the wound worsened, becoming larger, more infectious, and increasingly painful.

With no significant progress from conventional treatments, the doctor initiated a combination therapy using Jet Force and SilverStream Solution (marketed as Qurion in some regions), alongside weekly Gentamycin injections.

This innovative approach led to measurable improvements, including reduced wound size, decreased pain, and visible signs of healing with new granulation tissue and blood vessel formation.

Though the healing was slower due to obesity-related hypoxia, the treatment continues with promising outcomes.
